an investegator who’s looking into a Bank robbery the day the Show Boat comes
to town, It’s got music, comedy and suspense, rare print! 17150 The Shadow Strikes B+/B £75 (4x400’) Super
rare 1937 ‘B’ movie starring the wonderfully titled Rod La Roque who plays “The
Shadow” a masked crime fighter who investigates men sent to break into an
attorney’s safe, he assumes the attorney’s identity and starts investigating,
it’s a nice souvenir of this type of entertainment 17429 This is the Army B+ £120 (6x400’) Wow
this is a rare print, it’s in Derann boxes, but I’m not 100% sure they released
it, it comes from 1943, and was produced as a patriotic flag waver in the heart
of WW2. It was produced by Irving Berlin and features numerous songs of his, it
was directed by famous director Michael Curtiz as well, it’s the usual (for its
day) we’ll put on a show for the troops plotline, but it does feature all those
Irving Berlin songs 17453 Rome Express B+ £90 (5x400’) OB Nice DCR print of this 1932 crime adventure
film starring Conrad Veidt, a sinister character boards the Rome Express
looking for a recently stolen masterpiece painting, but the train is full of an
assortment of passengers, all with their own problems and wants, which makes it
very hard to work out who stole it! This film is also notable for the many

western adventure, he protects a young man wrongly accused of murder while

print of this 1938 Laurel & Hardy comedy, Stan has been guarding his post
since 1918, not knowing WW1 has ended, 20 years later Ollie finds out he’s
alive, and takes him home, that’s where the fun begins! 17551 Top Hat B+
to B+/B £90 (5x400’) OB Rare F/L print to this classic 1935 musical
comedy starring Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers and some glorious music and
dances, together with the comedy of Edward Everret Horton, it still is

1940 Western adventure starring Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Raymond
Massey & Ronald Reagan. Graduates from West Point are sent to Kansa to

rare F/L print of this classic 1937 Laurel & Hardy comedy, the boys are on

1922 Lon Chaney Sr. drama, he plays Yen Sin (‘The Heathen’) a humble Chinese
man washed ashore after a big storm, he finds himself an outsider in a deeply
Christian fishing community, he decides to stay, but will he ever be welcomed,
he eventually converts to Christianity to stop his one friend from being
blackmailed, Chaney once again gives an impressive emotive performance, one of

11636 Intolerance: Love’s Struggle Throughout The Ages B+ £120 (6x400’) Made
in 1916 by D.W. Griffith it stars Lillian Gish and Douglas Fairbanks in a story
of a poor young woman separated by prejudice from her husband and baby,
interwoven with stories of prejudice throughout history 12063 The Lost World B+/B £75 (3x400’) This is the
first film adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle fantasy, it was made in 1925
and starred Wallace Beery & Bessie Love. The Dinosaur special effects are

14679 October (Ten Days that Shook the World) B+ £80 (7x200’) OB Made
in 1928 this is filmed in a documentary style, it’s set in Russia in 1917, the
fall of the Tsar, the creation of the provisional government and the decrees of
peace and land in November. It also depicts a counter revolutionary revolt,
which was suppressed, then into October when the Bolsheviks are ready to
strike, in the 10 days that shook the world. This is the famous film written
and directed by Sergei M. Eisenstein and Grigori Aleksandrov, rare on any gauge
now! 16799 The Navigator B+ £65 (3x400’) In Perry’s Movies
boxes, this is F/L Buster Keaton comedy from 1924, two spoiled rich people
accidently find themselves trapped on an empty ship, how will they survive? 17524 Queen of the Chorus B+/B £70 (3x400’) 18 f.p.s Made in 1928, it stars Virginia Brown Faire who stars in this typical
1920’s mix of drama and romance, she plays a Chorus girl who falls for a guy
pretending to be a Millionaire, but when the real Millionaire turns up,
complications arise, rare Perry’s Movies print 17525 Judith of Bethulia B+ £65 (2x400’) 18 f.p.s. Made in 1914 this was the first feature length film made by legendary
director D.W. Griffith, the story centres around a religious woman who tries to
save her people by seducing and murdering the enemy leader, the only trouble

is the story of rebellious Texans who take a stand at the ‘Alamo’ against the
Mexican forces, it stars Sterling Hayden, Richard Carlson & Gordon
Hunnicutt. This print still has pretty good colour (it was never the best when

This print has had the 2 extracts Walton released inserted in the right
place as replacement footage, which are slightly better quality than the rest

Derann release of this 1933 Al Jolson
musical, a New York tramp (Jolson) rescues a girl from drowning and falls in
love with her, unfortunately she has no memory of the fact she’s the Mayor’s

Made in 1947, and starring Jimmy
& Tommy Dorsey, who play themselves in this story of their rise to fame in
music, each having their own Orchestra, but both play cracking 1940’s music,
and this is the real star of the film, although the back story of the two

this Gilbert & Sullivan Operetta (condensed version), colour is only fair
(every print I’ve seen has been the same), and it may have a few splices here

still retains pretty good colour, the edit is very good on this thriller from
1976, starring Dustin Hoffman, Laurence Olivier & Roy Scheider, it’s a tale
of Nazi war criminals, stolen diamonds, and a shadowy government agency, and a
student caught up in it 17467 25 Years (1952-77) B+/B £75 (3x400’) P/N:
slight fade Made by EMI Films in 1977 for
the silver jubilee, this is a rare documentary looking at the first 25 years of
Queen Elizabeth II reign, with many rare moments featured from the many
newsreels made over those years, we go around the world with the Queen and
Prince Phillip, I’ve never seen this before, I wonder who released it on 8mm? 17651 The Longest Yard (a.k.a. The Mean Machine (U.K.))
B/B+ £65 (3x400’) Marketing Films release of this 1974 Burt Reynolds movie, star American
Footballer is sent to prison, where the sadistic Warden forces him to train a
team of prisoners to play a guards team, which turns into one brutal and violent

friends Baldpate Inn to write, supposedly closed for the Winter, so there
should be no interruptions, until people with keys keep turning up, can he

by the B.B.C. this shows the life of the Cuckoo, lovely nature film, the colour
is fair, but it was taken off a 16mm print, and varies during the reel, as all
prints I’ve seen do 16634 The Man and the Earth – The 16636 Under Kilimanjaro B+ £35 (600’) Pretty
good colour on this documentary looking at the wildlife under Kilimanjaro in 17450 Slap Shot NEW £40 (2x400’) OB New and sealed U8 print of this
raucous 1977 comedy, which has a few adult words, it’s the story of an American
Ice Hockey team, it stars Paul Newman. The 8mm print is brand new and sealed, I
can’t guarantee what the colour is like, but I’ve had some good prints in the

from the 1975 thriller which sets out one theory to what happened to the famous
Air Ship, it stars George C. Scott 17778 North Sea Hijack B+/B £55 (600’) Roger
Moore, James Mason &Anthony Perkins star in this 1980 action adventure, the
print still has good colour, if a bit grainy in places 17795 The Empire Strikes Back B+ £130 (2x400’) OB
Edited superbly, this is the classic
follow up to the original “Star Wars”, this is one of the most sought after
double albums, the colour is still pretty good as well, it stars of course
Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher, with a cameo appearance by Alec
Guinness as the spectral “Obi-Wan Kenobi” 17836 Golden Rendezvous B+ £35 (600’) Based
upon an Alistair MacLean story, this stars Richard Harris & Ann Turkel,
it’s got ships, and attempts to steal Gold Bullion, PM Films released this

15947 42nd Street B+/B £45 (800’) Edited in correct order Brilliant 1933 musical comedy with
exhilarating dance sequences from Busby Berkeley, it stars the likes of Warner
Baxter, Bebe Daniels & Ruby Keeler, just magical 16004 Stage Door Canteen B+ £40 (600’) This
is the P.M. Films release edited from the 1943 feature, which had cameos from a
whole host of Hollywood stars of the day, the story (such as it is) centres on
a G.I. on leave in New York who visits the famous Stage Door Canteen which was
open to anyone in uniform during WW2 who meets a pretty hostess. Many stars are

starring Margaret Lockwood, James Mason & Patricia Roc, Lockwood plays a
noble woman with a double life as a ‘Highwayman (woman)’to alleviate boredom in
the 17th Century, well edited too! 17082 The Amazing Exploits of the Clutching Hand –
Chapter 1 B/B+ £40 (600’) Here’s a curiosity for you, this is the
complete chapter one from this 15 part 1936 serial, it’s got a simple plot of
fake Gold, a stolen notebook 17405 Hollywood and the Stars – The one and only Bing B+ £55 (600’) Joseph
Cotton narrates this look at Bing Crosby and his films, he was a much
underrated actor, and many clips are on show, it’s a nice reel! 17597 Cheek to Cheek B+ £35 (600’) This reel comprises
songs and dances from the 1936 Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers classic 1936
musical comedy “Top Hat”, it runs well! 17616 Hollywood and the Stars- A Man called Bogart B+ £55 (600’) Narrated
by Joseph Cotton, this looks at the life and career of Hollywood great Humphrey
Bogart, many clips! 17666 They 17666 They Died with their Boots On B+/B £40 (2x400’) Derann
print of this 1941 western adventure telling the story of the life and death of
General George Armstrong Custer, it stars Errol Flynn & Olivia de Havilland 17797 This is Your Life – Laurel & Hardy B+ £80 (2x400’) OB
Filmed in 1954, we see the set up and
the planned surprise for Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy, as both men’s lives
are explored, with many guest stars wheeled out, with various stories, we even
see the old adverts as well. This is a nice Red Fox Films release from America,
